| Attention all controllers. I am thrilled to announce the release of the NEW MCO Tower SOP. This is available in the SOP & LOAs area. From now on this will be your guide to MCO tower. This new SOP contains more details and is designed with more realism than we are used to here. Please take some time to review this new SOP in it entirety, and if you are unsure of procedures please do not hesitate to ask, or request a training session. In addition, some changes have been made to the Orlando TRACON SOP. There is no more local control procedures available in that section. The position/callsign table has also been updated to reflect Daytona Beach as it's own TRACON again. This means Orlando Approach controllers do not control Daytona anymore. The downloads section also contains two new documents, One is a MCO Tower cheat sheet with diagrams and one without. Last but not least, I would like to thank our TA Stephen Faison for creating the new SOP, and also thank everyone that has contributed to helping our ARTCC improve. |
