You've found the web site for the virtual Jacksonville ARTCC. We are one of 22 simulated ARTCCs that make up the United States division (VATUSA) of the Virtual Air Traffic Control Simulation Network (VATSIM).
The Jacksonville ARTCC (also known by its identifier, ZJX) encompasses northern and central Florida, southeastern South Carolina, southern Georgia, southeastern Alabama, and a very small part of southern North Carolina. The primary airports we serve are Orlando McCoy International (KMCO), Jacksonville International (KJAX), Daytona Beach International (KDAB), Myrtle Beach International (KMYR), Colombia Metropolitan (KCAE), Savannah/Hilton Head International (KSAV), Tallahassee Regional (KTLH), Panama City-Bay County International (KPFN), and Pensacola Regional (KPNS).
We also have a very active virtual military community that calls ZJX its home. The Virtual US Navy has several squadrons stationed within our borders. VAF-43 "Blue Blasters", VA-75 "The Guntrain", and VF-201 "Hunters" call NAS Pensacola (KNPA) home. Stationed at Cecil Field (KVQQ) are VAQ-132 "Scorpions" and HC-5 "Providers". In addition, Army helos can often be found in and around Cairns AAF / Fort Rucker (KOZR), and all branches of the virtual military can be found in and out of the other several military facilities within ZJX.
Please note that this is not the FAA web site, nor is it the NATCA site. If you are interested in finding those sites, please follow one of the appropriate links in the "ZJX Information" menu to the left. If you are interested in air traffic control simulation and/or flight simulation, and want to find out more about VATSIM, follow one of the links at the bottom of this page.
