General

1.

Knowledge and adherence to ARTCC SOPs and policies is demonstrated.

2.

Correct frequencies used per local SOP.

3.

Demonstrates understanding of separation responsibilities (IFR, VFR).

4.

Demonstrates understanding of airspace classification and procedures associated with each.

5.

Handoffs are initiated on a timely basis.

6.

Pointouts are applied properly and timely.

7.

Transgression of airspace boundaries is avoided.

8.

Aircraft deviating from SOP are coordinated with downstream controller if applicable.

9.

Aircraft are vectored in accordance with MVAs. Demonstrates understanding of safe altitude information (MVA, MEA, MSA, MOCA).

Vectoring methods are correct (rounded to nearest 10 degrees). Pilots are informed of reasons for vectors off assigned routes. Vectors are only issued to a/c of responsibility.

Aircraft on vectored arrivals are descended per local SOP and published procedures.

Aircraft on profile arrivals are cleared to descend per local SOP and published procedure.
