I was planning for a nice average flight out of MCO for ATL. Boy was I wrong. I got my clearance which was very professional like. I was told to expect 36R. Upon calling for taxi clearance is where things got screwed up. The controller first told me to taxi to and hold short of rwy 36L via A, A3. He then told me to disregard that and taxi to rwy 36R, never telling me to hold short of 36L. So I crossed 36L. After crossing 36L the tower controller kept private messaging me that I need to contact him. Then the ground controller said that I was supposed to hold short of 36L and contact MCO_W_TWR. So I contacted MCO_TWR. After wating for 15 minutes on the left side of 36R, I was told to position and hold. After waiting for a minute or so on the rwy, I was told that there were too many arrivals and to backtaxi to the right on rwy 36R and hold short from the right side of the rwy. While on the right hand side of the rwy I waited for at least another 45 minutes making the whole ordeal about an hour and a half to takeoff. I advised the controller that I would need to shut down the engines and he said he would tell me when I needed to start them again. He had me shut down and restart them again a total of three times. Finally when airborne, the departure controller forgot to hand me off to Center. The thing that makes me most upset, is the lack of coordination between approach and tower. I saw plenty of times that I could have taken off inbetween arrivals. I think some rwys should be designated for arrivals only and some for departures only.

Flew into JAX for the FNO tonight. I want to commend the controller for a very good job well done on JAX_APP this evening. This controller handled his pilots real well - considering almost every single one of them asked for each instruction to be repeated. One thing I did notice was there were times that this controller was stressed/annoyed at a pilot, ect. This is normal for the even environment but I personally believe that steps should be taken to ensure that it doesn't show through the tone of your voice. Granted this is easier said than done - but a calm and collected controller gains exponential levels of respect when he controls a high traffic event and appears unphased :)

Anyways - excellent job by this controller. Handled the situation presented to him very very well - in my opinion better than other controllers I have flown/controlled with myself. Very good job ZJX! Your events are always fun!

Stephen did a great job.. a pretty good amount of traffic in the center, especially when he logged on and in the first 30 minutes he was on.. handled it no problem. Always get good ATC down here at ZJX, but I don't think I've seen him on before, so wanted to drop some feedback. Great job Stephen, and as always, thanks for making ZJX great to fly in.

We appreciated the service of all JAX controllers working the scopes for the pilots headed to MIA Saturday night. Just a constructive comment meant to improve the system....... my controller talked way too fast as about 50% of the time he had to repeat, yet communications did not appear to be suffering from technical or system problems.

From my experience with over 5,000+ hours of VATSIM online time (using voice for all), when high traffic situations exist, you should not speed up, if anything slow down so you don't have to repeat. This mistake is reapeated by many so nothing new here ....real world radios are probably better than SB, so there is even more need to slow down and get it right the first time.

I have had the opportunity several times online to be controled by current real world ATC and that is what they do .... say it one time, clear, concise and that is all that is necessary. Otherwise good job!

Awesome job! Full service for VFR was awesome. I loved the way you asked for what approach I wanted even though I did all visual. I ain't experienced with GPS and what not on VFR aircraft to do that yet. :p

Mr. Parkar needs to slow down a bit on the frequency. Also I picked up on about 15 "break"s used during my en-route visit. The airspace wasn't that busy and "break" wasn't needed. As a fellow controller, based at ZNY (Center Rated) Ex-INS, from my experience we don't even use "break" up in the ZNY airspace. Mr. Parkar has the basics, but for a center controller you need to be a little more fine tuned. For example, some minor phraseology errors. Approach clearance should be given as... DAL1123, xx miles from (FAF), etc.... not DAL1123 you are xx miles.... I know I'm a being a bit picky on this phraseology. But there is always room for improvement. And a great controller is always eager to learn. Overall I enjoyed Mr. Parkar controlling abilities, and I'm also pleased that he took his time to control for myself and fellow pilots. Thanks for your time, I will sure visit ZJX again.

Turning right 20 deg. is not going to do anything at all for spacing. Also, this will then throw me off of LNAV navigation, once I turn LNAV back on, well I am back where I was. Wasting fuel, and my time.

Also, he needs to say something more like, what's your MACH? .800.
OKay SWK26 slow to .750 for spacing.

Personally I think he needs to read more on the books!

I will for sure fly in your airspace lots of times to come.

Last night 9 SWVA pilots departed for Orlando, Around 150 miles out JAX CTR popped online, MCO APP and MCO TWR were also online.

I enjoyed the cool, calm and collected GREAT JOB done by Jeremy, Stephen Faison (CTR) and Riley Rhoades( APP).

We flew into KMCO because Orlando is our crew base for many of us landing last night bringing in 35 tons of Buffalo Wings from Buffalo.

We will be using KMCO in the future as you guys are GREAT.

I put Jeremy Michael KMCO TWR as one of the top ten controllers in the system!!!A super guy , Great sense of humor. He had us landing on 35L, only thing he did strange was when he sent Ron to Airside 4, But things like that happen. So, I sent him a personal chat to send Ron to Airside 2 and he said "SWA5122, Your friends over at Airside 2 are requesting your presence, Stay on Golf, until the Bend in the road and turn Left into Airside 2". I was flying a Boeing 747-400. I was crossing Lamma at 12,000ft when he logged on. When i called him he was very hard to understand, he then dropped me to 3000ft and told me to drop speed to 140kts upon doing this i had stalled before reaching the five mile outer marker for runway 35/36 cant remember which. a controller should know that a Boeing 747-400 need to be at ether 160kts - 180kts, would like to see this controller again if he makes the appropriate corrections.

pretty good arrival. didnt seem to know the theoritical parts of controlling tho. 30nm from the airport descending through 8000 still wanted an expedited descent to 5000. said his artcc just calls for too high altitudes on the arrivals, so gave the impression he didnt really understand why those were there.

Good afternoon.

I was at Orlando this afternoon for a departure to El Dorado International ( SKBO ) [Flight Number]. A young man by the name of [Controller] was on GND at the time and didn't handle my clearance very well.

After calling in for CLR and giving him my arrival airport by name he called back and attempted to give me my clr. He called it back as " Cleared to SKBO, ummmm wait one " after a moment came back and advised me I was " Cleared to SKBO via the VALKA DP / VRB TRANSITION " and proceeded to give me the rest of my clearance. I called him back and advised him that I hadn't filed a DP and that was a real world FP that B6 uses. He called me back to correct me again and advised me that was the VALKA DP / VRB TRANSITION " Instead of arguing with him I let it go because I knew that [Controller] would have me on the way out with no problems. I read everything back to him and he again made one more correction to my FP which was a SQUAWK amendment. There was some silence there for a bit so I called him back and advised him that I never got a " Readback Correct, the ALT for MCO or a RWY to expect. " he nervously replied to push and start and paused once again to figure out what RWY he was sending me to. He wasn't on for maybe 10 minutes when this all started. When I called him ready to taxi he was already gone. No handoff, GND is closing, or anything else.

By the tone in his voice he didn't sound as though he has a whole lot of confidence in the GND position. I would request that a mentor have him keep a printed copy of the MCO DPs next to him so that he knows what tools are available to him for aircraft traveling outbound. There is no such thing as the VALKA DP. Have him keep working at it before getting him started on TWR. He should master one before the other.

This was one of my worst experiences at an airport. I asked for a VFR DEP to the West, and TWR told me to standby. I did, for about 5 min. I called again, he told me to stby. He asked me if giving a helicopter clearance is the same as giving a VFR clearance to an airplane. It took about 10 minutes, until i got my clearance. Finally, i got it, but it was really incorrect. I was never cleared into the BRAVO Airspce. I was just told the winds, and to depart at my des. No Clearance into the BRAVO, etc. I was told to contact DEP, right after i departed the airport, although TWR's VFR airspace is the first ring around the airport. I blame ZJX'a training department. This is simple stuff. Stuff you should know before you even get your DEL cert.

I just want to take this opportunity to let you all know what a great job [Controller] is doing for you as JAX CTR. He is very pleasant, his directions are clear and straight forward. Thre was steady traffic and is was all handled with respect and courtesy. Plus Kuddos for dong the marathon session of over 5 hours today.

[Controller] is one of the good ones on VATSIM! A+ to you sir.

[Controller] did good trust me. The only problem he had was with the uncontrolled airports. Remember, when class D airports are closed and regarding class G airports, this is the phraseology. "N470ER, jax center, cleared from the 42J airport to the 42J airport via radar vectors, maintain 3000, departure with me, squawk 2020, hold for IFR release acknowledge the hold." Then when they read it back you can tell them the altimeter and let them taxi to the runway. Only give void times when they are about to depart! For landing "N470ER, report your IFR cancellation and or missed approach on this frequency, or Gainesville flight service station, radar services are terminated, frequency change to advisory is approved. Even though vatsim doesn't simulate FSS's, if the aircraft doesn't call in with his IFR cancellation, you can just say he called Gainesville, so you can release another IFR aircraft. Controller was overwhelmed or not properly trained to handle the entire center. Phraseology was non-existent. Controller had to ask just about every aircraft that called to repeat who was calling. Heading assignments were erratic, often long pauses in transmission while deciding where to send an aircraft. I was left at FL360 for way too long and attempted to get controller's attention twice and was told to standby while he gave ground clearances at JAX. Eventually controller turned me south to descend and forgot me again. I had to get his attention, again, and was turned west for a while and then back north with further gentle reminders as I called out altitudes I was passing. Controller issued a descent to 2,000 ft and a speed of 210kts while still 25 miles out of TLH. Slowly approached and was assigned ILS runway 36 approach. At about 10 miles out controller said, "Um, I guess I can go ahead and give you a landing clearance. It looks good between you and there. Cleared to land runway 33." I proceeded to land on runway 36.
The planned 1hr 2min flight took 1hr 28min. Thank you.

Controller did very well handling the large amount of ground traffic as well as the large amount of delivery traffic. I think at one point the controller had 3 or 4 deliveries waiting to go along with 5-6 airplanes actively taxiing on the ground. Controller showed extreme calmness and as all pilots got what they were looking for in a timely manner. It was an absolute pleasure to fly into Orlando this evening, and this controller absolutely exemplified that. I look forward to flying in the airspace again, great job!!

Controller was very professional during the high traffic load. One suggestion: during times of high traffic such as tonight the controller needs to get his point across in fewer words. There were multiple times that the controller seemed to, for lack of a better word, ramble and give instructions twice. This clogged the frequency at times. As I flew in at the end of the event it didn't detract from the overall experiece too much. But I can only imagine that happening during peak traffic load. Other than that, contoller handled the situation very well and I look forward to flying into Orlando again with this controller online.

Controller did very good at handling the extremely large traffic load. At one point, his supporting center controllers disconnected, leaving him alone to handle the traffic. He seemed a bit flustered at first and it took a few minutes for him to sort it out. However most pilots were cooperative and the controller had control of the situation with minimal negative impact to the airspace. The only thing I noticed that kept this controller from receiving excellent rating is to make sure that his mic is closed when expressing his displeasure or frustration (as I myself tend to forget as well, I know the feeling). Overall an enjoyable expereince and look forward to flying with this controller again!!

I was flying into Orlando and I noticed that the Orlando Approach controller was quite hard to understand. I also was vectored to final at 5000 feet for the ILS approach causing me to miss the approach. I couldn't have landed on any runway. I was far to high. The likelihood of me flying into Orlando will be low, although I may fly into other airports in Jacksonville Airspace. I was very unhappy and had to overshoot the runway because I did not have time to complete a go-around.

Flew with [Controller] today around 1800Z from EQY-PIE. I was on a group flight with four other PFL(proflight) aircraft. During my time under [Controller]s control he was VERY courteous and for the most part helpful to me when contacted for something. Outside of that though he didn't seem to be paying attention to me or my companions much. It seems as if he never provided us with any form of separation services while we were in his airspace. For about 150 miles he was in a loss of seperation with 3 of our aircraft. all at the same altitude and at the closest about half a mile. average being about 2.5 miles. During the times when the loss of seperation existed we heard no traffic from Stephen to any of our flights. Also, although providing me the the local altimeter, none of my company traffic received local altimeter setting.

Worst FNO I have ever attended. I had departed from KAZO to be a part of the FNO while flying a real world route for [Flight Number]. Upon entering JAX Airspace everything seemed fine. To be proactive I asked CTR what APP I could expect:

PRIVATE>To JAX_CS_CTR : sir, what APPR will have me into SFB ?
PRIVATE>JAX_CS_CTR : i dont know

Further down the descent I was 25nm from the airport coming down through 6000' on the CORLL1, still not passed to APPR and still no info on what I could expect and was very RUDELY told " NOT MY AIRSPACE ".

From one controller to another. If you have me on COMM... I am in your airspace. I was very rudely treated and was handled very unprofessionally.

This is the last time my team and I fly in JAX airspace during an event.

My name is[Pilot]Being fairly new myself to VATSIM, it is always great to see people new then me. I have been flying for about a month now, and am loving it. Tonight, i did an IFR flight from KJAX to KFLL. [Controller] was a great help, even with multiple server errors that are going on tonight. He was able to give me all of my clearance information like a skilled controller, and did everything with excellence. That is when i was so surprised to hear that i was his first clearance. Flying out of JAX often, he seems like he is shaping up to be one of the best. I am excited to see what the future looks like for him in JAX, and am looking forward to having him as my center controller. Just thought i would give some feedback on the good ya'all have.

next i was handed off to MCO_W_APP[Controller] Where the challenge started with the very hard weather u had that night He gave me a couple of smooth vectors that led me to the ILS of 18R The second i got established I was about to report when i was handed off to the TWR[Controller]
Who gave me a landing Clearance as Number 2 after the DAL727 Flight that was on the runway ahead (I was asked by the CTR to maintain my visual separation from him as he was around 7 miles ahead of me ...was awesome)
Finally I reported a widnshear on the 18R around half mile at 500 ft and that was published to all the pilots landing next after me

Absolutely I will come back! [Controller] was professional and courteous during the entire approach. For some reason, EVERYONE was submitting a flight paln for and flying into KJAX. A couple of pilots even asked (via text) on the CTR frequency if there was an EVENT going on there due to the high volume of traffic (innapropriate use of the frequency) but [Controller] handled it beautifully. I even overshot my turn to final on RWY 07 but [Controller] quickly vectored me back on course. All this during thunderstorm and changing wind directions!

Disappointing service from APP...tons of nonstandard and confusing phraseology. I was not informed of the approach I was being vectored for (ILS 13), or even why I was being vectored until I was told to "join the 13 localizer,". I wasn't even cleared for the approach, so I asked, "Sir, am I cleared for the approach" and[Controller] replied with "you will be cleared when you report established". Well that means I technically couldn't intercept the localizer. And while I knew what he meant (sort of), someone without 1200 flying hours + 120 hours controlling wouldn't have. I control Center and below at ZHU and did so tonite for several departures into the FNO airspace. Then I had a chance to fly into the airspace myself, so I grabbed it. I must say that my flight was a most enjoyable ATC experience from JAX CTR, thru MCO APP airspace and all the way to final and taxi to the gate with TWR. No "controller lags" as I've seen at times in the past in differing locales. The controllers were spot on, even though I know they were tired. I was impressed by the fact that they stayed on for my arrival, even though they closed shortly after (at least TWR had to). But their level of service was excellent in all respects even though the event was drawing down. My hat's off to these controllers . . . good on ya'!

Flew from Sanford to Melbourne, VFR. MCO_APP cleared me through his airspace and had no problems with him and was very pleasant. When turning final for melbourne JAX_CTR sent me a contact me message. Ok... I'll give him a call and see what he wants. He said that I was entering a class D airspace and needed to contact him to do so. That is entirely correct but I was in Miami's airspace. I think he needs to review his charts for that area. The need to call an aircraft while on final, when no one was in the area, is a bit over the top for me and shows some power issues. I was using UNICOM the whole time inbound.

Also Orlando Approach brings aircraft into Melbourne in real life, I know because I'm talking to them all the time in real life.

I will be returning to the airspace as I have no choice because it is my hub area for a VA that I fly for.

This is constructive criticism.....

The controller on KMCO Ground for my flight was unclear about giving instructions. I had to give the readback twice and was never given taxiways to use enroute to the active. Then I was given hold short instructions as a VFR MD11 ([Flight Number] - [Pilot]) was practicing touch-and-go's in the wrong direction on top of ramming me as I continued to hold while he was taking off the wrong way (luckily I have collisions off just for such an incident). Finally I was given clearance for takeoff (not ground's job the last time I checked) and I was then off on the advisory frequency without incident.

In my opinion, this controller needs to be informed of what his specific job duties are and are not. He also needs to be aware of when a supervisor is needed (I requested one but he just said once the traffic is clear I'd be released for departure).

Controller told me contact him, but did not have the ATC client configured correctly as to appear in SB3. Reconfigured ATC client and began appearing in SB3 and sent a second "Contact Me" message. After a few minutes, controller sent a third "contact me" message.

If a pilot knows what he is doing, he will contact ATC prior to pushback/taxi. Contacting experienced pilots via PM tends to cause frustration (at least in myself). Contacting a pilot via PM after seeing movement on the ground without contact seems reasonable, though.

Summary: Controller's failure to set up ATC client correctly and insistent PMing created frustration and a bad first impression of controller. Given we're all here to learn, there are no hard feelings, but feedback is needed in order for improvement. Thanks.

I have never had problems around ZJX, but I'm not happy with how I was treated by [Controller]. Positively the worst tower controller I have dealt with in 1200hrs of VATSIM operations.

I don't appreciate being threatened with a conduct report because I requested an ILS when KJAX is IFR. The controller demanded I take Rwy31 even though there is no precision approach. I attempted the Rwy 31 approach (GPS31), but went missed because I lost sight of the field on short final (rain and fog). [Controller] then allowed an ILS 7 with visibility near the field of 1000 and 1SM. I believe demanding a visual against the pilot's request when the field is IFR is just wrong.

The controller repeatedly tried to exercise control of my flight, even when I was 80 nm from the field. He was uninformed of the current field conditions and current weather. I believe he is mistaken on his authority and duties as a tower controller.

Screenshot of the IM transcript available upon request. [Controller] was civil in his demeanor on voice when I arrived at the field, but I'm still not happy. I recognize he may still be in a training environment, but I believe more supervision would be appropriate.

Performed a flight from KMCO to KMDW for MITRE today as [Flight Number]. My flight was planned for 11141 EST and logged in around 1055 EST. Tower logged in around 5 minutes after and sent a contact me message around 1105 EST. I believed that he was not required to do that and he should wait until I called him up for clearance. I contacted him immediately and he started giving me some information about runways, winds and some other stuff which was O.K., but this should have been in his ATIS either text or voice.
He then asked me if I was ready for my IFR clearance. I told him that I wasn’t departing until 1141 EST, but I decide that since he had already asked me I would receive it then. I proceeded to request clearance, and then he told me that he would call me around 1120 EST which would be around 10 minutes. I figured that why would he asked me if I was ready if he wasn’t. He called me up at 1120 EST and gave me my clearance which was far from appropriate phraseology. In my clearance he included to fly runway heading, and that departure frequency would be with him implying that tower would give me radar vectors.
Not even mentioning two other delta aircrafts [Flight Number] and [Flight Number] which seemed to me like he had a circus of wrong phrasing with them. [Flight Number] called in holding short and tower replied “call when holding short”. [Flight Number] said that he was and ready for departure. [Flight Number] received his takeoff clearance or what was very short of a correct takeoff clearance. Then [Flight Number] called in for departure and tower specifically gave him a conditional instruction to taxi into position and hold “after” the departing [Flight Number].
MCO tower takeoff clearance for both [Flight Number] and [Flight Number] was far from proper phrasing. After [Flight Number] roll and takeoff MCO tower radar contacted and proceeded to give him some more instructions.
JAX CTR was online around 1125 EST, but tower told [Flight Number] that his radar services was terminated and he should switch to Unicom. [Flight Number] pointed out to him that JAX CTR was online and tower told him that CTR had just popped up and he could contact him. [Flight Number] told him that CTR was online long time ago.
Then [Flight Number] got his takeoff clearance also far from proper phrasing and also received a radar contact, but this time was passed over to CTR.
I got my clearance for takeoff at 1156 EST and then he decide to say that he was closing down and that he would be back at 1500 EST and then he logged off.
I commented to CTR about MCO tower services been horrible and that I was going to make a feedback about it.
This feedback is not intendedto make ZJX look bad, but to improve this person's ATC service. I really hope this is corrected, because some other pilot could think that this represents ZJX, which I know it doesn’t

Alex needs to work on his terminology when giving taxi instructions to include hold short instructions. Overall, not bad, just needs some polishing.

Bad News Orlando..

This evening on an IFR Flight from Chicago O Hare to Orlando FL, I was contacted by a [Controller] who actually was logged in as Domino Davis. I was on a late decent on the arrival, contact him, and was given a 093 degree turn (?) followed by 5,000 feet. I was NOT given proper vectors, was sent towards the east end of the field, then told to be ready for 18R. No sense..

Was told on a 5-mile final to expect the ILS (?) ... no vectors, so asked for the Visual 18R.. got it, and flew it. On a 3 mile final I was told to Call the Ball or Go Around? I'm confused.

Domino Davis is not [Controller] real name.. and he sure controlled up a mess in MCO tonight. I sent Screen shots of this situation to the ATM and to a VATSIM SUP, and called the SUP to try to remove Davis ASAP. This controller is un-certified for the position and is ruining Jacksonville's image.

I came in during the BOTA night and had great ATC all the way up the sunshine state. I got all the way to JAX_APP and received EXCEPTIONAL service from [Controller] here. He apologized several times despite y contant efgforts saying that he was GREAT atc and it couldnt possibly be his error. I apologize for not knowing the name of the controller working Center on June 17, 2007 at 9:10 P.M (1:10 GMT), but I cannot express how amazing his performance was. Having to deal with traffic in multiple states, along with issuing clearances, ground traffic, tower duties, departure and arrivals at those airfields, as well as dealing with high altitude traffic from Miami, Memphis and Atlanta Centers. There was never a second for him to catch his breath. While I was with him, the radio chatter never stopped.

He handled it like an absolute professional. Whoever he was should be considered an amazing asset to your staff.

Again, I apologize for not knowing his name, but I'm sure you can figure out who it was based on my time reporting.

[Controller] is one of my favorite controller in all of Vatsim, he did a great dob during the tail end of tonights FNO and i would like to commend him for his outstanding performance this evening. I am soooo used to other centers in the region either forgetting about your decent or clearing you to cross an int at a certain alt. that there is no way to get at. This fine gentlemen was ON TOP OF HIS GAME, i just wish all centers operated in the professional, cortous manner in which this man does. Vatsim a;ready rocks, but with controllers like what can be found in JAX....its only getting beter.

I wish there was something better than excellent for a rating. Not only did my tower controller do an outstanding job , but JAX CTR really shined this evening, there were a few pilots that had no business on Vatsim this evening, but he managed to get them on track as well as being very polite and very informative. I will 100% be flying through Jax next time you all are up.:)

On a side note is there a site somewhere that one can check to see when there is going to be ATC. I know there is a sign in sheet for some ARTCC's and i was wondering if there was something like servinfo that would tell ou when a certain ceter or tower or ground will be signing on?

Well It seemed to he did not know what he was but any way when he put me on fanal he told me to exspect runway 18R so I lines up on it and switched to tower mind you I was almost outer marker when towers says that I was surpost to land on 18L so the other choose I had was to sigh off vatsim or crash it so I log off so he reallys need to pay attation to what he is doing and know what runways they are landing on but anyway I'll be back of that you can count on

Rude to pilots... expectation of pilots that they could read his mind. I read back turn left 180 he told me "what are you doing sir I said 100" Its his job to catch me reading back wrong even then you don't need to be rude. Then he told me you wont make the approach like it was MY fault when he did not descend me in time. This controller was defiantly not one of the highest quality I've seen.

[Controller] did an outstanding job tonight. He recieved alot of traffic from ATL CTR with no sequencing and was quite efficient. I observed some problems with a pilot who was very slow to follow vectors and a bit argumentative but [Controller] was professional and a real pleasure to fly with.

[Controller] made a special effort to stay online so that I could finish my first new flight with new computer equipment I had installed. Even though I am sure he had big plans for Saturday evening he was polite and professional and stuck with me all the way to the ground. I will definitely be back to fly JAX_CTR.

There seems to be no way to also include [Controller], who was working APP last night. However, in any case these guys did a super job. Traffic was heavy, and they were literally BURIED in Novices and non-reporters, but they perservered, and even thougb a BUNCH of us had to go missed because of a C172 "Parked" on the Runway, they never missed a beat. Really enjoyed it and hope you guys keep doing these "Ops". Really makes our flying worth while. Thanks Again!!

I was just passing through monitoring as I cruised at FL340, this guy definately knows what he is doing. Traffic sounded busy with lots of chatter and he never skipped a beat like its his everyday job. If I see this guy on I may have to do a fly-in to JAX, Excellent work Jack!

I just want to say thanks for the great service you are providing. I'm new at VATSIM, my first flight was over Atlanta airspace and the app ATC was very rude to me when I couldn't hook up with the ILS, I don't want to fly over Atlanta again. Since I start flyng at KMCO, It's been a truly great experience, all the ATC's are really helpfull, kind, with clear instructions and patient. Same at JAX CTR, always kind, clear and ready to help. This message is not only for the guy at the tower at KMCO today, is for the APP, Ground and Center all these day that I'd been flyng. Thanks a lot for your services, keep the great work, newbies like me really appreciate it.

The Tower Controller at KDAB, is very good at what he does. He is calm, can control large masses of traffic, and adds a sense of humor to it. There was a lot of traffic, and two VFR pattern aircraft, including myself. This was during the Daytona 500 fly in, also. Great job!! This controller deserves a promotion.

First flight I got to complete with ATC at the end (2 longer flights crashed the system or FS9 on the way). Granted, don't have much to compare to since I'm new at this, but was very pleased with [Controller] just the same. He was handling touch and gos while I was wandering around like a complete drunk on final (when I got to DAB my display turned into a "slide show" which made lining up tricky), no doubt making life difficult for him. No hint of that in his voice, though. Good job.

Controller logged on 15 minutes before start of BOTA. Myself and 4 other ZAU controllers were preparing to depart to IAH. Took a very lengthy amount of time to receive clearance which in turn delayed our return flight to MCO, preventing us from scoring arrival points on that leg. Called for taxi 4 times with no response until the last call. Progressive taxi not issued - real free for all with who was to go first in the line of 4 of us.

This evening I decided to fly a VFR flight from KDAB-KMCO in a Cirrus SR22. I departed KDAB at around 5:30PM with no FP filed as this is not a requirement for VFR flights in the real world. I am a ERAU student with my CFI rating so I am extremely familiar with local airspace as well as Federal Air Regulations concerning VFR. The controller sent me a contact me message approx 50nm outside of MCO, well outside the Class B airspace, I was about only 10-15nm away from DAB. So I decided to contact him as a convience, he first said to me that I was swk stnby. Which I checked and I was swking mode C with the VFR code of 1200. About 5 minutes went by before he said "oh nevermind that is the VFR swk" showing me that this is going be a fun approach :) I was flying at 5500ft and now clearly inside the Class BRAVO, I was then not assigned a swk code, nor given clrnce to enter the MCO Class B. Again I just went along with the flow. He then preceeded to give me vectors that went so far west that I was outside the Class B again. At this time since the WX was beautiful VFR, I requested to terminate radar services and go on my own. The Controller granted my request, I then preceeded a little further west and descended down to 1500ft. At this time I turned inbound direct MCO because I knew that I can get pretty close from where i was at from the west and still remain VFR under the Class B. I got within 10-15nm of MCO and gave MCO TWR a call stating my a/c type intentions, as a normal VFR a/c would be entering a controlled TWR airspace. TWR then gave me my entry instructions for the runway in use which was great. At this time I felt like someone online knew at least a little something about VFR procedures. Upon landing TWR asked me why I had not contacted approach, I told him I tried initially but it was taking way to long to land VFR in MCO so I decided to come in under the Class B and just contact you.

In the end I got to where i wanted which is the ultimate goal, however with being a real world CFI this just makes me upset because I strive to provide realism in the VATSIM community. Not just for ATC but also for pilots, I think the more realism we have, the better time we will all have online. I therefore suggest out of this that your ARTCC review local VFR procedures and airspaces to see where VFR traffic can and cannot go. I thank you for your time in reading this comment and look forward to flying in the future in your airspace and see how your next controller I come across is!!

Overall, he seemed to know TWR stuff fairly good, except for the NEODDSWEVEN rule. I had filed for FL370 (an odd flight level) and he said that it was invalid for the direction of flight (southeast to northeast) I am guessing it was just a slip up, it happens to all of us ;). Other then that no problems accept for not handing off to departure, I had to ask by 2k AGL for the handoff.

I just wanted to let you know my experience with [Controller] Last night I was a first time flyer using ATC for approach and landing. [Controller] went above and beyond to help me with not only the correct landing procedures but also convincing me to try using voice. He even tried to provide me with ground service but problems with FSINN prevented further contact(which he also helped with). I will be actively seeking [Controller] for future flights as his professionalism and knowledge was second to none and he really helps new pilots feel welcome. Please let [Controller] know I appreciated everything he did for me last night and I look forward to future flights with him.

Contacted controller regaurding visual approach for RWY35 (defualt) 35L RW, priror to touch down. Controller gave me vectors past the visual flight path on 35L and I took rwy 36L instead. This was an inconvience for me as my gates where on the NE side of the field. Also at apprx. 10PM EST time controller left the scope because "he spilled his pop" Thanks again!

[Controller] was very helpful and understanding while I was in his airspace.

I initially had some problems with my controller and while I was trying to fix it (window minimized) my aircraft started careening across the tarmac. [Controller] contacted me and was understanding of my plight.

There was some miscommunication, most likely on my part, and I began taxiing to my runway without clearence, again [Controller] was very understanding and helpful. I am still learning the ins and outs of VATSIM and its controllers like [Controller] that make my learning all that much easier.

[Controller] gave me great service. I was flying into Orlando on the MINNE3 and he asked me if I wanted to change arrivals to the LESSE1. I eventually said yes, and he vectored me to direct OCF. He did this when there was much traffic in the area. I can't think of anybody else who would be so nice, especially in much traffic.

I was coming into kmco yesterday and i saw taht he was online so as i was coming in over omn vor to come into the ils he started to act like an approach controller. Was a nice night at JAX Monday night. Really good service the entire way in (CTR, APP, TWR, GND). [Controller] had a couple VFR 'intruders' LOL in the air was myself and an [Pilot Callsign] were enroute to KJAX.

JAX-ATL-JAX is my run a couple times a week. Always good service at ZJX. Makes me think at times I should get back to controlling at ZJX.

OK, This is the WORST controller in ZJX. I give props to all of the others here because they are wonderful. I wish that other guy(I forget his name) was on TWR tonight, he has all these weird sayings like [Flight Number], your altitude restriction has been lifted, resume own nav" I have never heard of anyone else say that. He also gives me weather updates all the time, when they are the same.
